The till, the back door and the delivery bay.
Most of what a restaurant needs on camera is not the dining room. It is the three or four places where money, stock and staff meet.
A till is short at the end of a shift. A delivery is signed for and half of it is not there. Somebody props the back door open during a busy service. None of these is a mystery once there is footage with a time attached.
What VISEC does about it.
- The till and the barMotion recording where cash and card machines are handled, which settles a shortfall without it becoming an accusation.
- The back door and the binsThe route stock leaves by, which is usually the least watched part of the building.
- The delivery bayWhat arrived, when, and who signed for it.
- Watch from anywhereA browser or the VISEC client, so an owner covering two sites can look at either.
The kit, plainly.
Cameras on the till area, the bar, the back door and the delivery point, plus a PC in the office. Keep cameras out of areas where people expect privacy, and tell staff what is recorded - in most places that is a requirement rather than a courtesy, and it is set locally.
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with 8 GB of memory. The installer is about 30 MB and roughly 200 MB once installed. For the AI features a graphics card with 4 GB and DirectX 12 is recommended, preferably Nvidia; without one VISEC uses the processor. Everything included
Before you set it up.
Do I have to tell staff about the cameras?
Generally yes, and often with signage. What exactly is required is set locally and changes, so check what applies to you rather than taking a software website's word for it.
Is the footage stored online?
No. Recordings are written to drives on your own PC. Nothing is uploaded.
Can I watch while I am at the other site?
Yes, from a browser or the VISEC client, with no separate subscription.
Set up somewhere else?
Distribution centres and logistics depots
Care homes and assisted living
