Terms of service for the VISEC app.
The app is free, and it works with VISEC on your own PC. These terms cover the app itself.
Who you are agreeing with
VISEC is developed by Philex Enterprises, Inc. and operated by Global Technologies Asset Partners, Inc. Installing or using the VISEC app means you accept these terms. The terms and license for the Windows software cover the software itself; this page covers the app.
What the app is
The app is a client for VISEC running on your own Windows PC. It needs that PC software, and a VISEC license — including the free one-camera license — before it can do anything. The app itself is free.
Your PC, your cameras, your credentials
- You may connect to VISEC installations and cameras that you own, or that you are authorised to access.
- You sign in with the Remote Access username and password set on your PC. Keeping those private is your responsibility — anyone who has them can see your cameras.
- The owner of a PC approves each new phone. Approving a phone gives it access to those cameras until the pairing is removed.
Using it lawfully
You are responsible for using VISEC lawfully — including any local rules on recording people, number plates or audio, and on where cameras may point. The same applies when you use your phone as a camera.
What the app does and does not promise
VISEC is security software, not a security guarantee. The app depends on your PC, your cameras, your own network and whatever mobile network you are on. We cannot promise that live video, a recording or an alert will reach your phone at a particular moment, or at all.
The relay that forwards traffic when a direct connection is not possible is provided as a best effort, with no guaranteed level of service.
Our liability is limited to what you paid for your VISEC license. The app carries no separate charge.
Changes and availability
We may update the app, and we may change these terms — material changes will be noted on this page with the date. We may also stop offering the app or the relay, in which case VISEC on your own PC carries on working as it does today.
