Connect a Honeywell camera to VISEC.
Honeywell's IP camera ranges support ONVIF, which is all VISEC needs. As with most professional brands, a new camera has to be activated with a password of your own before it will accept any connection, and some firmware keeps a separate user list for ONVIF.
Press scan.
VISEC searches your network for ONVIF cameras and lists what it finds. If your Honeywell camera already has ONVIF switched on, it appears here and you are watching live in a few seconds — nothing below is needed.
If the camera does not appear.
Menu names move around between firmware versions, so treat these as the place to look rather than an exact path.
-
Activate the camera
A camera straight out of the box usually has no password set and will refuse connections until you give it one, either in its web page or with Honeywell's discovery tool.
-
Enable ONVIF if it is off
Look under the network or integration settings. If you see a protocol list, make sure ONVIF is ticked.
-
Add an ONVIF user where the firmware has one
This is the step people miss on professional cameras: the admin account alone may not authenticate over ONVIF.
-
Scan from VISEC
Press scan, select the camera and sign in with those credentials.
Once it is connected.
