Connect an Avigilon camera to VISEC.
Avigilon cameras are normally paired with Avigilon's own video management software, but they are ONVIF conformant, so other software can take their stream. That is useful when you want one program covering Avigilon cameras and other brands together.

VISEC searches your network for ONVIF cameras and lists what it finds. If your Avigilon camera already has ONVIF switched on, it appears here and you are watching live in a few seconds — nothing below is needed.
If the camera does not appear.
Menu names move around between firmware versions, so treat these as the place to look rather than an exact path.

Sign in to the camera
Open the camera's own web page and sign in as the administrator. A new camera will ask for a password to be set.

Confirm the ONVIF service
Check the network settings for ONVIF and make sure it is enabled. Some deployments switch it off deliberately.

Check the stream format
Set a standard H.264 or H.265 stream at the resolution you want recorded.

Press scan, pick the camera and sign in with its credentials.
