Entrances, bike stores and common rooms.
Managed accommodation is a building full of people's homes, so this page is about doors and shared spaces, not the places people live.
Bikes go from the bike store. An external door is propped open on a Friday night. Something is damaged in a common room and nobody saw it. The building has a lot of residents, a lot of visitors, and one member of staff on site.
What VISEC does about it.
- Entrances and the bike storeMotion recording on the doors and the store, which is where most reported losses happen.
- Common rooms and laundryShared spaces where damage gets reported after the event.
- The car parkPlates logged at the barrier, so a vehicle on site has a time attached to it.
- Entry by QR codeA QR code can release a door or barrier where the camera has output terminals, through ONVIF or Axis camera I/O.
The kit, plainly.
Cameras on entrances, the bike store, the laundry and common rooms, a plate camera at the barrier, and a PC in a locked office. Cameras belong in shared and service areas, not in rooms or anywhere residents expect privacy. What is permitted is set locally and changes, so check it rather than relying on a software website.
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with 8 GB of memory. The installer is about 30 MB and roughly 200 MB once installed. For the AI features a graphics card with 4 GB and DirectX 12 is recommended, preferably Nvidia; without one VISEC uses the processor. Everything included
Before you set it up.
Is this appropriate for a building people live in?
In shared and service areas, generally yes, with residents told clearly. In private rooms, no. What applies to you is set locally - take advice on it.
Can the site manager watch remotely?
Yes, from a browser or the VISEC client, with no separate service.
Is there a per-camera charge?
No. Licenses cover a number of cameras in one purchase, and one camera is free for life.
Set up somewhere else?
Gated communities and hoas
Car washes and detailing sites

Try it on one camera first.
The free license is the complete program, including plate recognition, QR reading and access control. It does not expire.
