A car park generates disputes: who was here at 3pm, which car scratched that one, whose vehicle has been parked for nine days. Video alone means scrubbing through hours of footage. What you actually want is to type a plate and see the moment it arrived.

What you need
The kit, plainly.
One camera per lane, positioned so plates fill a reasonable part of the picture, and a Windows PC with a graphics card for the recognition. Infrared helps at night — plates reflect it well, which is why plate reading after dark is often cleaner than into afternoon sun.
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with 8 GB of memory. The installer is about 30 MB and roughly 200 MB once installed. For the AI features a graphics card with 4 GB and DirectX 12 is recommended, preferably Nvidia; without one VISEC uses the processor. Everything included

How fast can a car be moving?
VISEC reads plates at over 100 kph (60 mph), so barrier and entrance speeds are well inside what it handles.
Will it read plates from my country?
VISEC reads plates from more than 80% of the countries on earth. If yours is unusual, install the free license and try it before you buy anything.
Do I need special LPR cameras?
No. It works with 99% of ONVIF IP cameras. What matters is placement and resolution, not a special model.
Can it open the barrier by itself?
Yes, where the camera has digital output terminals. VISEC drives ONVIF and Axis camera outputs, which is the same wiring a card reader would use.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. Licenses are a one-time purchase and one camera is free for life — see the licenses.
