The situation
Records here are both a commercial and a compliance matter: what came in, from which vehicle, when. Paper tickets and a camera nobody can search are the two things that make a dispute or an audit expensive.

What you need
The kit, plainly.
A camera on the weighbridge lane placed for a clean plate read, ideally with infrared, and a Windows PC with a graphics card for the recognition. What a licence, a landlord or an insurer requires of a camera system is set locally and changes — check what applies to you rather than taking a software website's word for it.
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with 8 GB of memory. The installer is about 30 MB and roughly 200 MB once installed. For the AI features a graphics card with 4 GB and DirectX 12 is recommended, preferably Nvidia; without one VISEC uses the processor. Everything included

Can the reading go into our existing system?
Yes, either as a text file your software reads or as an HTTP POST per reading carrying the plate, the image and your own fields.
Will it read a mud-covered plate?
Often not, and no system will reliably. VISEC can raise an alert where no plate could be read, which at a weighbridge is the case that needs a person.
How fast can the vehicle be moving?
Over 100 kph (60 mph), so weighbridge speeds are not a concern.
